Who discovered the subconscious mind?
Sigmund Freud, the famed psychologist was the first to peer into the workings of the mind and split it into the conscious, subconscious, and unconscious mind. The conscious mind is like the part of the iceberg which is above the water and most of the human mind is being hidden, just like the iceberg under the water.
In fact, Freud estimated that only 10 percent of our experience was governed by the conscious mind. 4. Control your negative thoughts by mindfully reprograming the subconscious via hypnosis

This is why people who are working with affirmations often have trouble in areas that have been present in their experience for quite some time. They have built up an emotional charge around a specific issue. Unless they address how they feel about it, that issue will continue to repeat in their life.
The key to our imagination and visualizations is to stimulate the emotion that we want to use to activate positive beliefs. The fact is that the mind doesn’t understand when something is real or not. We call it imagination, but the mind doesn’t distinguish between what’s real and what’s imagined. It believes whatever you feed it.
While working with the subconscious, Carl Jung would lead his patients in a process he called “active imagination.” A patient would just sink into a mood that they wanted to get some insight into and then wait for the mind to make a fantasy out of it. The patient would free-associate based on the fantasy in their mind, and then the therapist and the patient could figure out what the scene that was brought forth had to do with their current condition. In this way, a patient would get in touch with their subconscious on a more conscious level.
We can do powerful visualizations in seconds and don’t have to be mentally aware of why something works for it to work. The visualization doesn’t need to go through the entire process to achieve the desired result. We should start with the desired result in our mind first.
For example, if you want to paint a masterpiece, imagine everyone adoring the picture with your name on the corner. Feel the elation and the sense of accomplishment sweep through you as you achieve your goal. This cuts straight to the chase and is a very powerful type of visualization. The process is not important. What’s important is the result. Focus on the image of that, and invoke those emotions in the present. Talking directly to our subconscious using mental images bypasses our belief systems because it simply doesn’t have the information and time to object.
In addition to having a positive mindset, always remember to include words that have an emotional impact on your psyche. Emotional “high vibration” words will add an extra charge to your visualizations and affirmations. Don’t just say those words in your visualization in your mind, but actually feel them in your body. By hitting those emotional notes often in your day-to-day life, you raise the vibration of your surrounding environment.
6. Practice meditation and mindfulness

With mindfulness training, you may also gain improved memory. If you are going through a stressful time, it can help you retain working memory.
There are countless other brain benefits to mindfulness meditation, many of them related to your brain’s middle prefrontal lobe. This activity helps your brain create new neural pathways that aid in cognitive function and improved concentration. Some additional benefits include a boost to the speed with which you can process information and an improvement in intuition and decision-making.
Being mindful while you are exercising benefits your fitness as well. Athletes and non-athletes alike generally achieve better fitness growth when they focus on the muscles they are moving, their breathing, and their individual activities.
Another way to reprogram your subconscious to change the destructive power of negative thoughts is by letting them go and replacing them with positive, grateful thoughts instead. This is usually the best bet for thoughts about something that you have no power over.

Clearing long-held energetic patterns in the body can take some time and even some help from an energy worker, but in the end, these can also be cleared via the power of the mind.
