Blocking Negative Energy With Mantra

What Are The Effects Of Negative Energy?

The energy of the mind is the essence of life.”  Aristotle

Have you ever felt out of sorts or intensely uncomfortable for no apparent reason? Perhaps you are enjoying someone’s company, without any bad vibes, and all of a sudden you feel like something is off. You can’t explain it, but for whatever reason, you know that you need to remove yourself from the situation. In a case like this, you are more than likely being affected by negative energy. This energy can come from any number of external sources in the world around us and can have a profound effect on all aspects of our lives. It can connect to our own energy bodies, most of the time through our minds. It can distort our own emotional, mental and physical energy.

Translated into real-world situations, this could manifest itself through sporadic mood changes or mental cloudiness. You may feel confused or disoriented. You could even experience a sudden and unexpected lack of confidence. Bad energies can make you feel out of control and powerless. When you are affected by them, you will also probably have a tendency to attract people and situations of low vibration into your life.

When you are being affected by the negative energy, you may not even be able to tell this is happening. Sometimes it is hard to even know which of your thoughts and actions are coming from your true self and which are influenced by negative attachments. This can be very disconcerting. To understand what is happening around you and to be able to control the situations you are in you need your true self to be the captain of your thoughts and emotions. But you have more power than you might think.

In the words of Dr Wayne Dyer: “Thoughts are mental energy; they’re the currency that you have to attract what you desire. Learn to stop spending that currency on thoughts you don’t want.”

When Negative Energy Strikes

Friend of mine, Sarah, had a successful career which was fulfilling both financially and emotionally. She loved her work and was climbing the ladder year by year. One day, she got that exciting phone call – her boss was moving to another city, and the company wanted to interview her for his position. The interview, they told her, was really a matter of formality, and the job was as good as hers.

That night, Sarah went to bed full of anticipation. She couldn’t sleep. At first, she chalked her insomnia up to nervous excitement. After all, it’s normal to have trouble sleeping when you’re excited about something. But as the sleepless minutes turned to hours, and she was still tossing and turning in her bed, she began to feel more and more anxious. She kept telling herself that she had nothing to be nervous about. The people who would interview her knew she was good at her job. They wanted her for the position.

Still, something felt wrong. And on the verge of this big promotion, Sarah had a sudden and seemingly unexplained meltdown. Things went from bad to worse. Her interview was the following week, and over the next few days, she developed a migraine and an overwhelming sense of exhaustion. She could barely eat, and she wasn’t sleeping at all. She was so concerned, that she even went to the doctor, but was told that she was in good health.

But Sarah knew that she wasn’t. Negative thoughts were permeating her mind. She kept hearing a voice, that seemed to be her own, chanting things like, “You can’t do this” and “You will fail.” She began envisioning making a fool of herself during her interview even though she knew that she had no real cause to be afraid. No matter what she tried, she could not shake these negative thoughts. Thoughts of failure at the new job or embarrassing herself in the interview were so overwhelming that Sarah began to fear she would not even be able to attend the interview, let alone pass it.  We reached out to Sarah and asked if she’d like to try remove negative energy with mantra meditation.

Why Mantra Meditation?

The practice of blocking negative energy through mantra meditation is a valuable skill. Bad energies can have a major impact on your emotional, mental, physical and spiritual well-being. It can be so powerful that you feel like your thoughts are not your own. By learning how to block and remove negative energy through mantras, you can clear these thought attachments from your mind and body.

Mantra Meditation

Blocking this negative energy, which can take over your body, mind and spirit, can be done by reaching a higher level of vibration where only positive energy can thrive. Learning to use mantra meditation to remove bad energies is a skill that takes practice, but it is not as hard as you might think.

During this troubling time, Sarah had been so busy with work that she had let most of her other pursuits slip by the wayside. While Sarah felt like her dreams were crumbling around her, she gathered the courage to go to our meditation class. While she was at the session, a solution presented itself. Before the session, we began talking about blocking and removing negativity. Sarah had heard the term before, but at that time in her life, she had not thought a lot about how energy, whether negative or positive, can influence our daily lives. But as we spoke about how this unseen force can influence your life in a very powerful way, Sarah realized this was what was happening to her.

Thankfully, Sarah not only understood the problem, but she also was keen on trying a solution. During our discussion, we mentioned that the practice of meditation can help Sarah balance her energies, and also brought up mantra meditation and its power in blocking negative energy. When we explained how negative thoughts can be blocked by repeating a mantra, Sarah knew she had her answer.

How The Process Works

“Sometimes you need to sit lonely on the floor in a quiet room in order to hear your own voice and not let it drown in the noise of others.” Charlotte Eriksson

After that one meditation class, Sarah felt she had enough positive motivation to get started. She felt like she had some hope for the first time in days. Immediately, she began researching mantra meditation with the aim of learning how this practice worked in the hopes that it could solve her negative energy problem. Sarah knew that once she understood the process, she could begin the practical work to block and remove negative energy. This practice consists of two components: repetition of a mantra and the practice of meditating. Your meditation is performed, or held in place, by the mantra. In other words, you repeat your mantra – a word or phrase – over and over, whether out loud or in your mind, and, as you do so, you will reach a place of both high focus and complete liberation from negative thoughts. The repetition of mantras can help you disconnect from any negative or intrusive thoughts that arise during meditation, and the process will also help keep you focused on your intention.

Every atom and molecule that makes up your body, including those in your brain, is already vibrating, as in the Kinetic theory of matter which says that “all matter is made up of atoms and molecules that are constantly moving.” The goal is to reach a higher mental plane where only positive energy can thrive. That process can help you achieve this state through a subtle change in vibrations. Feeling these positive sensations can help you effect positive changes and enter an even deeper state of meditation. Your purpose is to liberate your mind, thus closing the portal, or point of entry, for any negative attachments that have been affecting you. Once your mind is liberated from the negative thought attachments, you will once again be able to tell what thoughts and feelings are coming from your true self.

Putting Mantra Meditation Into Practice

“If the ocean can calm itself, so can you. We are both saltwater mixed with air.” Nayyirah Waheed

The first step in putting this into practice is setting your intentions and goals. It only takes a few minutes to create a solid intention. This dedication to a purposeful goal will help you focus more intently and achieve a deeper state of meditation.

Mantra Diary – Write It Down

Write down your intentions and goals. What do you hope to achieve through this practice? What thought patterns and attachments do you want to remove? What negative influence do you want to evict from your mind? You may not know the exact cause of the negative energy. That’s okay. Work with what you do know. For many people bad energies centres on a physical feeling of unease or pain.

Practice The Mantra And Keep Practicing!

Find a quiet, peaceful place where you can focus on your practice without disruptions to your concentration. To begin your meditation, focus on your breathing but don’t control it. This will help you focus on your practice and achieve a greater state of relaxation. Breathing will anchor you to the process. Your emotions may fluctuate. They may be negative or positive. Try not to focus on these feelings.

Practice The Mantra And Keep Practicing!

As Thich Nhat Hanh said, “Feelings come and go like clouds in a windy sky. Conscious breathing is my anchor.”

Begin chanting your mantra. You can do this out loud, internally or in a combination of both. Let your thoughts come naturally. Don’t force your mind to shut anything out. This will teach you to focus. Any time you need to refocus, repeat the mantra with every inhalation and exhalation of breath. If you feel like it’s not working, remember that you are new to this. Any new skill requires consistent practice, and meditation is no exception. You will have good days and bad days. Accepting this is part of this journey.

Mantra Meditation – I Feel Relaxed And Balanced

Clearing Bad Energies With Mantra Meditation

“The purpose of meditation is to make our mind calm and peaceful.” – Kelsang Gyatso

The negative energy problems you are experiencing can only be solved once you reach a deep state of meditation. This deeper state allows you to keep your mind free from obsessive thoughts and closes the portal for negative attachments. As you allow your body and mind to relax and fully give in to the meditative state, you should begin to feel the subtle vibrations that affect your energy. These positive vibrations will help raise your positive energy levels taking you to a higher “vibrational space” where the environment is unfriendly to negative attachments.

Once you reach this higher plane, negativity cannot have as strong an effect on you. Sometimes the positive vibrations can be so powerful that the negative thought attachments will completely detach from you. Once you begin regularly practicing mantra meditation you will feel your mind blocking negative energy and begin to realize the source of some of that energy.
