Hermetic alchemy principles

The Hermetic Tradition

In the study of mysticism, one cannot escape the importance of the Hermetic tradition. This spiritual and mystical philosophy is considered to be the driving force behind alchemy and spiritual transmutation. This time-honoured collection of teachings can be traced to the Emerald Tablet of Hermes Trismegistus.

Hermes Trismegistus is believed to be the author of the Corpus Hermeticum. This work attributed to Hermes is an important cornerstone of occult science. The Hermetic teachings have endured throughout the centuries thanks to the enlightened beings who have made it their mission to keep the old sources of knowledge alive.

Hermes has been associated with Egyptian gods and Greek deities. The ancient Greek society saw him as the Greek god Hermes. The Egyptians saw him as Thoth. His multiple incarnations in different religious cultures have led to him being called the Thrice-Great Hermes. These designations should tell us that Hermes Trismegistus was revered by the ancients as a god of great wisdom.

There are two writings which are believed to distil the ancient wisdom of the Emerald Tablet of Hermetic philosophy. These are the Asclepius and the Corpus Hermeticum. These writings were thought to hold the secret of alchemical symbolism which would permit the occultist to turn metals into gold. In truth, the Corpus Hermeticum, Emerald Tablet, and Hermetic tradition are the keys to a greater transmutation of the soul.

The Great Work

At the heart of Hermetic Philosophy is something called the Great Work. This process represents the true nature of Hermetic principles. As physical alchemy was believed to refine base metals into gold, spiritual alchemy refines the soul into the very image of its Creator.

The Egyptian gods and ancient Greek gods are all aspects of the Divine. In each of them, we may find the essence of spiritual perfection. They also serve to teach us important lessons about the true nature of the Great Work.

All of these lessons integrate with the Hermetic philosophy. Masculine and feminine principles, the principles of polarity, and the principles of transmutation may all be attributed to Hermes. It is through the study of the alchemical symbolism that we are able to complete the Great Work and perfect our physical and spiritual bodies.

Our true nature is to perfect the soul, to reach a place where we have complete mastery of the Hermetic philosophy of living. That is when we will learn that pain transmutation and soul alchemy far exceed the benefits of turning metals into gold. Gold is but a physical treasure than can be lost. The brilliance of the soul once gained, is ours to behold forever.

Perfection Through Soul Alchemy

It should be the goal of every man, woman, and child to become the best version of themselves. This is what the Emerald Tablet attributed to Hermes teaches us. The ancient Greek mystics and philosophers knew of the Corpus Hermeticum and the Hermetic teachings. As such, occult science has come down to us in many ways.

Through soul alchemy, we are able to better understand the principles of polarity. Everything has an opposite. There are masculine and feminine forces which were typified by the male and female Egyptian gods. To successfully practice pain transmutation we must be comfortable with the masculine and feminine aspects of our physical bodies.

The alchemical symbolism of the Emerald Tablet can grant us the power of pain transmutation. Our physical bodies can be refined and changed, and we can also bless others with the gift of occult science for personal betterment.

Understanding the Prima Materia

A key to the application of Hermetic principles is the understanding of the prima materia that was so important to the overall alchemical symbolism revealed by Hermes Trismegistus.

The prima materia, or prime materials, were understood to be the first matter. They were the starting point of all alchemy. Without the prima materia there could be no philosopher’s stone from which alchemy could progress. The Bible itself acknowledges the prima materia in its very first words, describing the earth as being without form, and a great void.

To accomplish the alchemy of the soul and perfect mental transmutation we must find that void within where only the first materials exist. It is in that place of silence where we can truly begin to comprehend the magnitude of the Hermetic principles. The Greek god Hermes was showing us the way to perfection by encouraging us to begin with the first matter.

Are You Prepared to Accomplish Pain Transmutation?

Hermes Trismegistus taught us that there is a place within where we can use spiritual alchemy for pain transmutation. Through a very specific process that is based on natural laws, we can transform our body, mind, and soul. We can become a more godlike being in our image and character, and in our ability to heal ourselves and others.

With the help of the Greek god Hermes and the knowledge revealed many millennia ago, a great power has been placed within your reach. At the heart of all alchemy and transmutation is an awareness that you have the creative ability to shape your own destiny.

It is possible for you to use techniques such as mindfulness and meditation to accomplish the transmutation of painful thoughts and energies into powerful, life-affirming emotions that will help you achieve the great things for which you were created.

You are a creator by birth, designed in the very image of the Grand Architect of the Universe. It is in your nature to harness the power of soul alchemy and spiritual transmutation. You can take that power within yourself by practicing a specific routine of exercise that encourages mindfulness.

The true gold of the alchemists was the gold of enlightenment. Through the alchemy of the soul, you can become a more perfect version of yourself. You can become empowered to use transmutation to turn every negative experience or thought into an emotion or feeling that benefits you and your spiritual growth.

The secrets that have been used by mystics and philosophers throughout history can also be yours when you pursue the path of pain transmutation.

Mystics today rediscovered alchemy as a means of spiritual self-transformation. Their view is that transforming base metal into gold is just an analogy for personal enlightenment. Their goal is the transmutation of the body, mind and soul into a higher plane of existence, illuminating the whole self.

Transmutation is a concept in hermetic alchemy that involves changing something from one form or substance into another, such as metals into gold.

Hermetic teachers practised mental transmutation, which was the art of changing mental states into other forms, such as thought-forms. This is also known as mystic philosophy.

When we perfect mental transmutation, we can use our minds to change our lives for the better and help others to do the same.

The link that binds alchemy and hermetic principles together is the process of transmutation. When we apply hermetic alchemy to a substance, be it metal or an energetic body, an alchemical reaction occurs.

Two common views of alchemy are that the focus of the original alchemists was to transform base metals into gold.

Many people believe that the early alchemists laid the foundations of chemistry.

The second view is that hermetic alchemy a symbolic system that represents the inner transmutation of the mind, body, and spirit.

Hermetic philosophy has seven principles related to the relationships between the universe and everything else.

The Seven Hermetic Principles

The best way to align your energetic vibrations with the vibrations of the Universe is to understand the Universal Laws and Principles, their vibrational frequencies and how your thoughts and feelings can vibrate at the same energetic frequency. 2. Correspondence

The second principle is Correspondence. This is the most important Hermetic concept. It is the belief that everything Above and Below correspond. So, whatever we do in our physical, mental or emotional life also happens in the metaphysical world.

3. Vibration

Vibration – This principle states that nothing rests. All things move and vibrate constantly. As a result, vibrations cause all things related to matter, energy, mind and spirit to exist.

4. Polarity

Polarity – This principle suggests that everything has an opposite or a pole, such as love and hate, good and evil, light and dark. The idea is that if we understand our polarity, we can change it.

5. Rhythm

The 5th principle is Rhythm. Rhythm explains that everything flows in and out, like the tides between the two poles. This rhythm causes actions and reactions. If we can control this rhythm, we can neutralize it and avoid moving toward the negative pole.

6. Cause and Effect

The 6th principle is Cause and effect. Most of us know about the concept of cause and effect. Hermetic teachings explain that nothing happens by chance, so we must work on reaching a higher plane of consciousness where cause and effect cannot rule us.
